WEB DESIGNER
The position, based in Rome, will report to the Internet & New Media Communication Manager and will be involved in the following main activities:
Accountabilities
· Evaluating, proposing and creating (on the basis of guidelines) on how images and other material can be digitally optimised and presented for the web
· Managing the layout, visual appearance and usability of the corporate website
· Creating design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout and content, for the Corporate web site
· Providing guidance to stakeholders to optimize the use of visual assets & content for the web, mobile and other new media and create visual concepts that match stakeholders’ brief.
· Testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions
· Performing maintenance and updates to existing websites
· Proposing written online visual design/creative guidelines for use by external agencies, local markets, and other partners
· Monitor and report on web design & content trends
Qualifications
· Pertinent field of study and at least 2 years’ experience in a web agency or in a web designer position
· Knowledge of internet and mobile applications
· Knowledge of Graphical/Video Editing tools, and html language
· Office computing (Word, Power Point)
· Fluent in English
Software
· Photoshop (Excellent level)
· Flash (Good level)
· Adobe Première or similar (base level)
· InDesign (base level)
